Castomer E100 Series
These products can be processed to produce high performance moulded articles with a wide range of physical properties. These prepolymers are essentially linear aromatic isocyanates of medium molecular weight with a very low monomeric isocyanate content. The E100 series typically contain less than 0.1 per cent free monomeric toluene diisocyanate, which is below the current regulatory limit for hazard labelling, The E100 series is used mainly in conjunction with the curing agent, 4,4 methylene-bis-orthochloroaniline (MBOCA). A low monomer range of TDI/polyester products is available which can be cured with either MBOCA or Trimethylolpropane (TMP). Low monomer TDI/Polypropylene glycol products and MDI/Polypropylene glycol products are also available, in addition to a range of high performance MDI preplymers which are designed to be cured using 1,4 Butane diol.
Castomer E203 Series
A range of MDI/Polyether products which are available as a 3 pack system. A hardness range from 65° Shore A to 60° Shore D is possible by varying the ratio's of the 3 components. The isocyanate and resin components can crystallise at ambient temperatures and the system is therefore processed at 40°C to achieve the best results. When post-cured at 80°C for 16 hours the system gives high dynamic physical properties.
Castomer E223 Series
A range of MDI/Polyester products which are available as a 3 pack system. A hardness range from 55° - 95° Shore A is possible by varying the ratio's of the 3 components. The isocyanate component is a prepolymer which remains liquid at 25°C, as does the main resin component. The third component is 1,4 Butane diol and will solidify below 18°C. The system can be processed with all the components at 40°C and will cure at room temperature. However post cure is recommended at elevated temperature to achieve the maximum physical properties.
Castomer Spray Elastomer
High pressure machine spray applied polyether/polyurea systems are available which produce high performance seamless elastomeric coatings.
