Baxenden Announces the Commissioning of a New Powder Drying Facility
The 1200 litre Mitchell's vacuum pan dryer is designed to reduce the water levels in a feed stock to levels below 1%.
The equipment is fitted with computer control of both temperature and vascuum, allowing consistently dry product to be produced at temperatures ranging up to 80°C and a vacuum down to approximately 30mBar.
The vacuum can be broken with nitrogen, to provide an inert atmosphere, so products with KSt values of up to 380 Bar.m/s can be handled.
Atmospheric releases from the plant are also controlled by means of a fume and dust scrubber.
